The resistor is to do with the locking as far as I can remember as the same wire in the Probe is used for locking and unlocking! I installed a remote start, code hopping, locking alarm system in my Probe a few yrs back, great system but a bit of a nightmare to fit! Lets just say you wouldn't want to...

Had to replace LH one on mine a couple of years ago and only yesterday the RH one, it started playing up when switching on dips the bulb would glow VERY weakly and the spots would come on as well. Replaced connector and all is well once again😊

They WILL fit.
RHR on my Probe seized before test this year, went to motor factors looking for a replacement, Probe not listed but 626 was, ordered 1 and it fitted perfectly😊

It's sorted, finally☺ Convinced the mechanic that the cables would fit after telling him I got advice from ukpoc club members and showing him pictures from the Ford workshop manual. He fitted the 3 cables and replacement calliper and bingo the problem is solved😊 Brought it in for 2nd retest and pass...

Positive things like: Easy to change bulbs including headlight bulbs (not like a lot of modern cars and no dealer or special types either):lol: Easy to check and top up fluids etc (on 16v anyway) I know these things may seem "petty" to some people but it makes them easier to maintain I reckon? Ordered 3 handbrake cables for the Probe they are "Japanparts BC 300 and BC301" for left and right.and "Firstline FKB 1728" for the centre cable. When mechanic went to fit them he said they were the wrong cables, the ones on the car has different fittings he says. The thing is, when I look up the p...

Yeah I always leave handbrake off unless absolutely necessary i.e taking off on a hill Thats made me laugh.I am imagining some crazy handbrake trick to make the car fly off the top of a hill.lost the plot!!! Need the sunroof open for that, but can't get my hands on an ejector seat :lol: :lol: :lol:
