Re: Urgent help required

From what I saw, the fuse was just a blob on the end so maybe it decided to give up and retire. At least everything is back to normal

You can buy gasket paper, usually the local parts shops are the best places to get it in for you.

Re: Oil

Oil should be changed often, it has a shelf life of about two years then it starts to separate and loose its protective value

Re: Bad news at the pump

From what I've read the problem with E10 petrol is its destructive effect on the fuel lines and it goes off more quickly than current fuels so leaving our cars stood with it in will gum the lines up and make them harder to start, solution , keep using them and watch the rubber parts of the lines.

Re: Early 24v issues

Yes the manifold has been off doing the rocker gaskets , we did try and squeeze the main hoses to see if we could get more air out but they were a bit hot, the heater hoses get hot as well, I'm going to loosen the front hose pipe to the throttle body to see is water comes out.

Re: Help Please, No Brakes.

A side note on bleeding, if you use the pressure bleed kits like the easy bleed kit, it will save damaging the rubber seals and make life easier, drop one of the wheels to about 8psi and you can bleed to your hearts content

QH now do a ball joint with a circlip on top to stop this happening, much better than the press in version.
