Unlike the engine management, the air bag module doesn't store fault codes. Instead it looks at the system anew, each time it starts, and if there is a fault it reports it with a flashing sequence of long and short flashes on the instrument panel. In effect, switching off the engine clears the codes and restarting it begins the cycle of checking for faults once again, so you have a real time error that has to be fixed to clear it permanently. Perhaps others may be able to suggest a workaround, but that is my memory of reading the bible when I also had a problem. Mine was a blown module fuse.

I'll happily photocopy the manual and email or send it to you if that will help. It has all the codes and what they might be and is pretty comprehensive. Have you disturbed any wiring lately?

As I recall, airbag wires are all yellow.
