Ah the famous Denso tape, this wraps around the 4mm adjustment?

Update: callipers back together and handbrake all done with 4-5 clicks :) thanks all

The handbrake cable pulls a lever arm on the caliper.
That lever arm rotates a shaft which disappears into the caliper.
There is a lipseal on that shaft , which fails because of the high side loads from pulling the handbrake on.
YOU can help stop the water getting in , by packing the space between the arm and the caliper , with the magic tape.
