Hi, I've got a 95 16v and when I start it from cold I hear a squealing noise coming from the serpentine belt area, if I press the accelerator while it's still squealing it coughs and splutters and cuts out, if I leave the accelerator till the squealing stops it revs normally, but when the engine warms up I hear a ticking noise coming from the same area, I've only noticed it since having a brand new distributor fitted, the centre exhaust is blowing but the squealing started before. I've had it to the garage who suspected plugs? But had new plugs fitted but still cuts out till the squealing stops . Any thoughts anyone? Thanks
