I am really excited as I have just booked my pay per view for the Chris Eubank jnr fight saturday.
Now I know none of you are boxing fans but I live in hope a new member may join me.
If not a great treat after moving most of my stuff out old house today and great treat to end a difficult week.
Shouting at tv and doing boxing motions very good take your mind of activity.
Really intigued who is into boxing these days as surprised I am only fan on this forum.???

It's not my cup of tea, but then again people will think I'm mad spending ££££ on watch motorcycle racing, everyone to their own as they say.

I'm into boxing ( as a spectator ) it all stems back to listening to the big Ali/Bugner/Hearns/Hagler etc fights on the radio at 2am with my Dad in the kitchen, Don't think it's of the same quality these days but old habits are hard to break.

You made my day.I just remember watching fights with my Dad.Must have been John conteh and those 2 brother british fighters. For the life of me forget their names for now.Dad gave me tips on how to box but when I wanted to learn properly he said a girl could never box and girls didnt even go to fights My Mom had a very famous boxer in her family and her Dad boxed in army too so big part of my childhood.
Who were those British brothers?
Can see their face as clear as day but name escapes me.Think one may have fought Ali?
I think you right not the same today.Think when it went to sky and pay per view it lost working class audience and just isnt mainstream anymore Also so many different belts/champiionships so confusing
But I like eubank jnrs fighting style so hapoy days saturday night
Also like the Brit girl I think boxed in olympics.Forget her name too but go girl girls can put on a fight better than mens lightweight fights in my opinion

I like young Eubank too, the sport needs personalities. the middleweights have been the best to watch for a long time now imo, Benn/Eubank snr/Steve Collins/Herol Graham, Amir Khan etc to name but a few, all good British fighters imo.

I was a huge fan of eubank snr so watched eubank jns first televised fight and been a massive fan since watching him develop.
Always prefered middleweight boxers.
At least the fight on saturday cheaper than the last 2 itv box office fight nights.
Agree like fighters with a personality.
Are you going to be watching saturday?

What did you think of that.I switched off waiting for fight.Eubank came on like a different fi fighter I blinked and missed it.All i can say is in my opiinion eubank has makings of being best fighter we have ever known and tonight his style so different I stand by my opinion.glad he won but for our money can we watch again on repeat and when is his next fight.
His training with merryweather obviously paid off.

I think the boy became a man, no posturing, no messing around, just down to business. He knew he had to "fight" this guy so that's what he did, reminds me of a young sugar ray, has all the skills to go to the top but lacks a real knockout punch for that division, didn't do sugar ray any harm though, I think he'll win this series and go on to real big things.
