A day like this definitely lifts your spirits.first day in ages not had heating on at all and back door open all day so my dog can wander at will.
I have done nothing except chill and thinking of buying bench for garden when funds permit.
Is it just me but you cannot beat a bench.ideally prefer a hammock but as i have a passion for cutting trees down think i will go for the bench.

You've got me to thank Elaine!

For two years I've been building my shed and each day it has rained to some degree or another, between flash flood and biblical deluge.

Now Aaron has fitted the windows and doors (in the rain) its watertight - or so I thought. I've discovered a small leak at the bottom of the valley and I need to find out where its coming from. Needless to say, its not rained since, nor probably ever will do again in the Minchinhampton dust bowl - thus preventing me from plastering the ceiling, laying the floor or lining the walls. I for one, am fed up with this "good" weather.

........ Last night , pure nostalgia.
The first time, for 63 years, since I saw 'The Dam Busters' on the proper ,full size screen and even better , outside at night.
The opening World Premier of the re-mastered original. Mega amplifiers to make your chest shake with twelve Merlins
thundering down the Derwent valley ,priceless.

Car weekend for me,

Saturday, oil&filter change on the 16V Teal, first time since I took over ownership of the vehicle.
No leaks , Jan took it for a test drive today, all good.

Sunday, water pump change on one of my Blue 16V, so the cambelt had to come off
Bit of a later start, than I might of liked, it been a year of so since I've done a cam belt
So progress was a bit slow, doing things twice, when you don't do them in the right order#-o Needed the help of Jan to get the cam belt back on the sprockets.
It started to rain late on, but worked through to get it finished, started first time, RESULT :!: Didn't have time to find clean/painted cam cover & heat shield, that's a job for next week :)

Thats a good idea.I noticed yesterday I had a complete fascia for the heater control area.I had sorted mine into boxes for possible MOT parts and have rest in different boxes in no particular order. Was thinking of writing contents on the box but a log is a good idea.
Thought I had lost something the other day but remembered I had some parts in my car boot.
I found a spare water overflow tank and pipe in the boot too.No idea why I had taken it in my mind I might need that in my boot?
So a boot sort out is in order too.
