Alright I've completed the hei mod, only the ignition module, not the external coil. Was pretty straightforward. No issues and fired straight up afterwards. But......it hasn't solved my problem. Slightly stumped, may have to just take a chance on the coil being bad and buy yet another distributor. ...

I would say that the ignition coil is breaking down. Get Ignition Car Parts to test and fix it if required.

These dizzy’s can start to break down at anytime.
Have you checked the CPS plug?
As regards to the moby, just because it was working ok when you first got the car, doesn’t mean it’s still ok, I would check the connections of the by-pass.
The fuel will be because it’s not firing.

Hi Ben, There could be a few reasons for your non starting. Has the immobiliser been by-passed? do you still use a fob? If it has been by-passed, then I would check the connections behind the centre console, if it hasn't been by-passed then I would look at doing it (write up in the Oracle, accessed ...

There is no need for the short wires in the plug to be soldered or even together as they don’t do anything now. I would suggest that you maybe re-do the yellow connectors with some new connectors as they might have become dry joints? If you do the HEI mod, any chat of a wristlet up and pictures that...
