Re: Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

The piston is wound in and out, by means of the adjuster, which is accessed via the small bolt on the back (12mm head), use an Allen Key to make the adjustments. If you put in the Allen Key and it does nothing, then check that it's actually in there. As for final adjustment, different people have d...

Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

Just a quick one on rebuilding the rear callipers After removing the piston I find the threaded insert staring at me. I’ve read the old posts explaining what this does in regards to play but I just want some help understanding how to reinstall and put back together. Does the piston wind back in or p...

Fuel pressure issue

Probe 2.0 / 16v 1995 Blue Hi all, I’ve got a fuel pressure issue where I’m not getting enough of it. Car only starts when the fuel pump is constantly powered via the diagnostic plug so I’m guessing it’s enough build up to start the car but can’t keep it up. Pump was changed few months ago from a car...

I’m always guessing between the edge of the 2 loom plugs but would rather know from an engine that runs....

Re: Last chance, still no start :(

Just in case you missed previous warnings on what NEVER to do. NEVER , EVER leave a spark plug lead disconnected. If you do, the high voltage will still be produced and will find its way to earth through the lowly rated transistors in the dissy circuit. Sometimes, you'll get lucky but mostly not. A...

Re: Last chance, still no start :(

Any Updates ;) Updates :D I’ve been on the phone to a helpful gentleman from ignition car parts LTD who’s swears they’re keeping most if not all of the UK Probes on the road :D I’ve sent both my new and old dissy to them for a bench test and repair (might as well have a spare). As the new one is pu...
