NOx value for Probe 24v 1997

Does anyone know what the NOx (nitrogen oxide) value is for a 24v 1997 Probe. The reason that I am asking is that I live just inside the newly proposed ULEZ extension zone for London. The limit is 0.08g/km. Some manufactures produced vehicles that met these standards earlier than was legally require...

Re: A/C compressor clutch bearing

I did replace the belts 2 years ago with quality ACDELCO belts and have not done much mileage since so I didn't suspect the belt but you make a very good point of checking this first.

I will get the belt off for further inspection and possibly change it out anyway whilst checking the pulley as well.

A/C compressor clutch bearing

Has anyone changed the air conditioning compressor clutch bearing in the belt pulley. My A/C compressor clutch is working ok but the pulley bearing is developing a screech. Any information much appreciated. (Probe 1997 V6)

Re: Transmission speed sensors

If you have the sensor removed from the gearbox you should be able to compare with the pictures of the new one to check its the same fitment. If you have to remove it from the gearbox the bolt will probably snap off as mine did. A mechanic friend of mine removed it for me I'm not sure how he did it....

Re: Transmission speed sensors

The manual and automatic sensors are not the same. I purchased a sensor listed for the Mazda 626 as it was not listed for the probe. I had done research for this to make sure it was the same. My probe is a 1997 V6. I checked the Mazda 626 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder 1994 models and they use the same s...

Re: A/C Drier Installation Probe 24v 1997

Drier replaced. Job done! A/C works fine. These driers are a weak point in the A/C system and unfortunately are hard to get hold of. This is the second one that I have replaced on my 1997 V6 Probe.

Re: Radio speaker replacement. Probe 24v 1997

I have the speakers removed now for size comparison. Im going to a car audio shop this week to see what's available. The In Phase speakers look a good choice and the shop stocks them. I will update you my findings. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Radio adapter wiring harness

After further investigation I have found that the amplifier has been bypassed and I have found the leads under the dashboard wired directly to the speakers. The original Ford radio had been replaced with a Panasonic unit when I bought the car at about a year old. The lead shown by mmm24v would be co...
